Your Weekly Rotary Minute - 7/9/2009

Hi All,

I'm looking forward to seeing as many happy Rotarians as possible at today's meeting.

Ron Mowad has enthusiastically agreed to give his classification speech/talk. Please be sure to come in your large numbers to support him as we get to know more about one of our newest members.

Next week (16th) we will have a dynamic speaker, Maggie Doyne originally from Mendham who at the tender age of '18' and just out of high school started an orphanage half way around the world in Nepal. Come hear what inspired someone at such a young age to perform such a selfless act.

The following week (23rd) we will have an informative presentation from our own PDG Elly Ezra on the economy. He has informed me that the talk will be dynamic and full of useful information. Anyone that knows Elly and has who has sat through one of his talks would not expect any less.

We will be scheduling our annual picnic at Rotary park to coincide with the completion of the construction at Rotary Park. We do not have a definite date but are pretty confident that we will be ready for an August celebration. Continue to watch this space.

Also work has been going on behind the scenes on a new Rotary Website that will combine some cool new technology that will make the current site even better. One new change you may have already noticed is that this email is addressed to 'allofus@unionrotary.org'. This is a special address that sends email to all members. No need to send to a long list of individual emails anymore...Look for continuing tech updates in the near future.
